What’s the Skinny? Paleo Diet Edition
You’ve joined the gym and cut fast food out, but you’re looking for a better balance in your pursuit of good health. As doctors and health enthusiasts know, proper nutrition is key to this balance.
Typically, a person looking to live a healthier lifestyle is advised to exercise and diet. The exercise part seems easy— find a gym, a person trainer, do some cardio, lift weights, etc.
But what about food?
Researching diets can be time-consuming, following certain diets can be costly and sometimes, some diets can seem plain gross.

What’s the Paleo Diet?
The Paleo Diet attempts a “caveman” approach to nutrition. Essentially, you can eat foods that are hunted and gathered.
While the Paleo Diet movement does include protocols that specifically help with weight loss, Founder Loren Cordain, PH.D. (in his various publications) states that the diet seeks to improve health. In short, the Paleo Diet not only aims to help you lose weight, but also wants to help you live a healthier lifestyle.
Benefits to the Paleo Diet include (but are not limited to) a balanced nutrition, weight loss, stable blood sugar, improved sleep patterns, improved performance for athletes, and increased daily energy.
Through studies and dieters’ testimonies, the Palio Diet has been proven to reverse signs of Type 2 diabetes and Multiple Sclerosis. In fact, if you have an autoimmune disease, the diet even includes a separate autoimmune protocol.
You might be thinking: So the diet sounds great, but what exactly will I be putting into my body?
Here’s your answer:
They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away, but I’m willing to bet that the Paleo Diet can also do the trick.
